It is difficult to be certain of all of the ingredients in any given vaccine. There are many companies making the ‘same’ vaccine marketed under their own trademarked names. Some vaccines may include another company’s trademarked ingredient. As an example, Thimerosal™ is a trademark of Eli Lilly and Company for their component ingredient, which they sell to a variety of other manufacturers for use in their vaccines. There are many pharmaceutical companies manufacturing similar vaccines, in compound and effect, with various brand names, each containing the same toxin as another treatment-component or vaccine.
Thimerosal™ (sometimes spelled thimersol and thiomersal) is an organometallic compound used commonly world-wide since the early 1930s as a preservative in such things as some vaccines, cosmetics, eye drops, contact lens solutions, tatoo ink, etc. The use of Thimerosal has become ever-more controversial recently due to concerns about potential neurotoxic properties of the mercury containing compound and the potential connection to autism.
A segment of the medical and scientific communities believe that an additive that contains mercury in mandated childhood vaccines is the agent that has caused problems. Many items in the home contains mercury. The medical mainstream, including national health agencies, claim that a vaccine that contains mercury compounds at the center of the technical debate is Thimerosal™, (Thimersol) a mercury- containing preservative that was removed from most vaccines after a 1999 recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration.
Thimerosal™ (Thimersol) is not a necessary component of vaccines. When a vaccine contains mercury, it can cause harm. If vaccines are packaged in single dose vials, the preservative Thimerosal™ (Thimersol) is un-needed. There is mounting evidence that there was knowledge of the dangers of adding Thimerosal™ (Thimersol) to vaccines. Researchers began asking questions about the dangers in the early 70s. By 1992, the preservative had been removed from pet vaccines and contact lens solutions because of known risks. Childhood vaccines continues use for years. During the 1990s, some 40 million children were vaccinated and the number of Thimerosal™ (Thimersol) containing vaccines, which contains mercury, given to children nearly tripled.
