my son has been batteling drug addiction since he is 13 now 22 he has been at the malichi house in NC for two months, his first visit was 6/21 and 22 normally only fist pass 9 hours but since I was flying in to see him, I have to say i felt a little disscouraged becaus all he could say was that they work him to death and read the bible I spoke to 2 of the staff people and asked a few questions but left feeling not so sure they were telling me the complete truth so that is why I would love to find out if anyone has heard of this program and how can this work without having meetings??? what kind of tools will he be given if all they do is work and read the bible?

he is working to give his body something to do…he is reading the bible because they believe that the key to his addiction is a failing in not understanding there is a higher power you can turn too..would you rather he be sitting in a room and not doing anything so his mind could wonder to what he could be doing if not in rehab? we lived in nc for ten years..i knew someone who went to a drug rehab im not sure that this is the same one..but i know it was a religious one and he worked his butt off…it took two times going in but he has been crack free for seven years…so perhaps you should give it some more time..he has to want to be clean to get clean…good luck to you and him
